Born and raised right here in the suburbs of Detroit, Dave Doran literally discovered radio by
accident. After graduating from Pontiac
Catholic High School, he stumbled into an
internship at the RIFF in the mid 80s before
rocking the airwaves in Traverse City,
Kalamazoo, Toledo, and Saginaw.Dave felt
right at home at the Riff.
"As soon as I walked into the building, I knew I
was at home," he says. "Everbody here
at WRIF is family to me, my Rock 'n' Roll Family if you
will. Rock 'n' Roll is in my blood and I can't imagine
doing anything else! KISS said it best, I Love It Loud".
Dave likes to hang with listeners at the
clubs, concerts, and games. So if you see
Dave, don't be shy. "I love meeting all
the dedicated Riff Listeners, especially the
blondes, brunettes, and redheads with tequila or
jager bombs in hand."
Dave also has a well-loved son, Christian:
"He's the best kid in the world! I'm so
proud of him!"
