Suzy Cole is a Michigander. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, she often found herself explaining where Grand Rapids is in comparison to Detroit on her right hand, which people from other states don't really understand.

She got into radio when she was still in high school in Grand Rapids (or the G-Rap as she calls it) From there she went to Holland, Lansing, back to the G-Rap and finally ending up here at the RIFF. Familiar with the area because "only the good shows come to Detroit," she always knew that she wanted to work at WRIF and couldn't be happier.

A few things that you might want to know about Ms. Cole are:

Suzy has an incredibly huge tongue. She thinks that her mom is keeping a very large secret about being a member of the KISS ARMY. (But besides the tongue, she fortunately doesn't look anything like Gene Simmons.)

She loves music and is obsessed with David Bowie, Motley Crue, and Guns N Roses. (Her mom also has the hots for Tommy Lee.) That's not all though, she's pretty much into everything out there...even Triumph! In fact, you can probably find her out at a show of any sort when she's not working...any show...we think she's A.D.D.

Suzy drinks lots of beer and whiskey, but has sworn off just about all other sorts of liquid as she thinks water is over-rated and tequila makes her crazy. (But who doesn't get crazy on that stuff!) If you see her out in the wild, it is not uncommon for shots to be consumed. (her actual battle cry is “SHOTS BITCHES!!!”) This is just a natural phenomenon with Suzy. Don't be afraid.
