This year for the 3rd Annual Rocktoberfest WRIF has a very special guest... SLASH! 
 
Join Slash as he goes live on the air to kick off the festival. Be part of a special, open to the public, question and answer session. Plus, anyone that arrives at the event by 2:30 p.m. will be in the running to meet Slash and receive and autographed guitar.
 

WRIF'S third annual ROCKTOBERFEST is an outdoor fall event that will combine great food, great beer including numerous different craft style beers and live music for you to say your last “good-bye” to summer!

 
There is free parking and we are asking for a $2 donation at the door. This event will feature:
  • Live, local rock throughout the day in the Biergarden 
  • Great food
  • Vendors
  • “Octoberfest” beer-sampling tent featuring a great variety of craft beers 
  • “Sports Den” featuring TVs to make sure you don’t have to miss any of the action
  • Special entrance from Skydive Tecumseh parachuting from 10,000ft into the event



A portion of the profits from the event will benefit Penrickton Center for Blind Children

Cheer on your favorite ladies in “The Big Tug”... A Tug-O-War competition between Downriver’s hottest bartenders, waitresses and spokesmodels!
