So I went to Grand Rapids for the first time ever on Saturday! I thought it was pretty cool but I definitely needed more time to check it out.
I went to see Evans Blue play at the Intersection. Cool little venue! Kind of reminded me of a bigger version of the Machine Shop in Flint which I love going to shows at. Got to hang out with the guys in Evans Blue for a bit they’re always cool. I have to say, I’m a pretty big Evans Blue fan and really love all the old stuff with the original members HOWEVER, this new singer can really sing so it’s ok!! I still love it!
All the supporting bands sounded great! No Resolve opened along with Seventh Cycle and State Your Cause. I even gained a few new WRIF Rock Girl fans from different parts of Michigan!
Needless to say we closed down the Intersection with the bands and then made our way to TGI Fridays…yes, Fridays…I couldn’t tell you the last time I was at Fridays but we closed that place down too hahaha it was a lot of fun actually!! AND I learned a new word from the locals in Grand Rapids that they use…CRUNCHY…Yes, “crunchy” is used to describe something that’s “chill” or “laid back”..I dunno, I sound weird when I say it, so I don’t haha…Just thought that was kinda funny!
Other than that, today is turning into what looks like rain! Which is fine by me! The rest of the week looks gorgeous! Can’t wait to hit up that pool!!
Stay in touch on my Facebook page! I post pictures all the time!
