Jack White and the Dead Weather are apparently revving up again.
On Thursday (August 39) Third Man Records posted a photo of the quartet -- which also features Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age, the Kills' Alison Mosshart and Jack Lawrence from the Greehornes and the Raconteurs -- on Twitter with the caption "The Dead Weather working on new songs in the studio yesterday...(and searching for bodies)."
The group has released two albums so far, "Horehound" in 2009 and "Sea of Cowards" in 2010 but has been largely dormant since then, with the band members working on their other projects.
Fertita in particularly is in the midst of a Queens of the Stone Age tour, so it's unclear when the Dead Weather might be working in earnest again.
But Lawrence tells us it's that not flogging the group is a good idea:
"We don't make too many plans too far in advance. It could happen at any time...We all stay so busy it's hard to have time to sit back. I think if we didn't have other projects going on, yeah, we would miss it more, but we've all been pretty busy. I think it was nice to take a little break. It always is. You can start to get a little burnt out no matter what you're doing after a few years of touring. So it's always, it feels fresh again."
