Stone Sour continues to ping-pong between its two "House of Gold and Bones" albums with a new single and video for "Tired," which comes from "House of Gold and Bones, Part 1."
It's the third single from "Part 1," following "Gone Sovereign" and "Absolute Zero," while "Part 2" has yielded only "Do Me a Favor" so far.
Interestingly, it comes at a time when frontman Corey Taylor tells us the group is on the back-burner for awhile:
"We're taking some time off, some well-deserved time off. We're essentially taking the rest of the year off. We might do some one-offs here and there in the next year...but right now we're just kind of taking a breather because I need it. To be honest, man, I'm pretty shot and I'm just gonna enjoy being at home and having some down time."
Taylor is still busy, of course. His second book, "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Heaven (Or, How I Made Peace with the Paranormal and Stigmatized Zealots and Cynics in the Process)," debuted at No. 23 on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction list this summer, and he's preparing for his other band Slipknot's October 19 performance at the Monsters of Rock festival in Brazil.
And Stone Sour is hardly out of mind; Taylor still envisages turning "House of Gold & Bones" into a full-scale concert production and possibly even a film:
"That's still something I'm toying with, but it's something I've scaled down a little bit. Maybe there's still some one-offs we do here and there, but as far as a whole tour, like, based around that, we just can't afford to do it right now. So maybe in the future we can do something like that where it's a massive tour all over the world, but for right now really the plan is to maybe do a handful of certain bigger markets and just see how that goes."
