Former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and his family have reportedly been granted a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker.
Duff, who was traveling with his wife, Susan Holmes-McKagan, were away at the time of the incident. Susan’s mother, who was watching the couple's two teenage girls, aged 16 and 13, heard an intruder coming into the couple's Los Angeles home.
According to TMZ, the 21-year-old man, Story Walker Bannister, came to the door and demanded to see her “daughter.”
After Bannister refused the leave, Susan’s mother called the police and they escorted him away. In fear for her daughter’s safety, Susan decided to act quickly and filed for a restraining order.
There will be a hearing within the next month to decide if the order will become permanent. For now, Bannister must stay at least 100 yards away from the McKagan family at all times.
McKagan and his new band, Walking Paper, have been on tour this summer and are scheduled to appear at Operation Kick A** Fest. The event is a two-day music festival in Chula Vista, California on September 14th and 15th, along with Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Coheed and Cambria and more.
