Megadeth rocker Dave Mustaine is usually thought of for his amazing songwriting and his talents on the guitar, but now, Mustaine is putting his sense of humor at the forefront of his skillset.
In the latest from Funny or Die, Mustaine narrates a “Men’s Warehouse” spoof that outlines a man’s search for the perfect metal album to ramp him up for a job interview.
And which album does he choose? Coincidentally (or not so much) its Megadeth’s latest LP, Supercollider! The album does the trick, as “Keith’s” boss happens to be a huge Megadeth fan, and he lands the gig.
Mustaine then promises of Supercollider, “You’re gonna like the way it sounds; I guarantee it!”
In a hilarious final scene, it’s shown that the man behind the smooth jazz music that’s been playing throughout the video is none other than Kenny G, who says to the Megadeth frontman, “Hey Mustaine, it looks like your mommy dressed you up for picture day!”
Making the video especially ironic is Dave Mustaine’s battle with Men’s Warehouse from earlier this year, when he took to Facebook to complain that the company failed to get a gift certificate to Megadeth’s tour manager in time for Christmas.
Glad to see you can laugh it off, Dave!
