Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody revealed plans to work on a new side project after the band’s latest album cycle, but don’t worry 5FDP fans, he promises that he’ll be “Back for More.”
According to Blabbermouth, the band’s lead vocalist spoke about his upcoming side project with a Swedish blog called Metalshrine.
In the interview, he explained that he was working on a new project away from 5FDP that he plans to get rolling after touring for the band’s latest album, the upcoming double-LP The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell. The first volume is due out at the end of July, with “Volume 2” following in the fall.
“I’ve already got a few guys on the line that I’m really proud to say I’m gonna work alongside with,” Moody said. “I talked to the guys (in the band) and after doing five records like this, it’s time to take a little bit of space from each other and that way, when we come back to do the next album, it’ll be fresh to us again.”
But before any of that, 5FDP will rock out with the 2013 Rockstar Mayhem Festival into early August before heading to Canada and then over to Europe.
