It looks like Trent Reznor is once again in the market for a new bassist for Nine Inch Nails’ upcoming tour.
Back in February, NIN frontman Reznor unveiled a new line-up of the band, including Jane's Addiction’s Eric Avery. But according to Billboard, Avery told fans last night that he has decided to bow out of the tour before it gets under way later this year.
In a Facebook post, he added that Reznor was grateful for the time to find a replacement before the tour kicks off this fall.
A founding member of Jane’s Addiction, the band-hopping bassist also spent the past year touring with Garbage is support of their most recent album Not Your Kind of People.
After more than a year on the road, Avery reportedly became overwhelmed as more and more dates were added to Nine Inch Nails tour.
Now that he has bowed out, Avery explained that he wants to wants to focus on his music in Los Angeles, particularly in film work.
