Holiday shopping is now upon us and we’ve come up with 5 box sets that make perfect gifts.  We think these choices are ready to be stuffed in stockings or wrap in fancy paper with a crazy bow on top. So while you’re camping out in front of stores or using your shopping cart to plow people over, you can think of all this awesome music you could be listening too. Enjoy!

 

1.  Metallica

  • Binge and Purge – If you are a true Metallica fan than this is the box set for you. Live, Loud, and everything else in between. This 5 disc set contains 3 CDs and 2 DVDs. The DVD is from a 1992 San Diego Concert and a 1989 stop on the Damaged Justice tour in Seattle. The CD material includes the live tracks from their concert in Mexico City. The set also includes solos from Jason Newsted and Kirk Hammett.  You can snag this box set for about $39.99.

 

 

2. Rage Against the Machine

  • XX (20th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Box Set) – This set includes 2 CDs, 2 DVDs, and 1 12” vinyl LP. CD 1, will include the original album, remastered and with 3 bonus tracks. CD 2 is the Rage Against the Machine demo tape. This was recorded in 1991, XX will be the first time the entire Rage demo tapes have seen a full official release. DVD 1 features Rages historic free concert in Finsbury Park in June of 2010. DVD 2 brings you back in time to the release of Rage’s debut album and also live performance from 1991-1994.   • The Casablanca Singles – This set is met for the KISS aficionados. KISS released a total of 29 singles on the Casablanca record label from 1974 to 1982. Along with the 29 singles in the box set, there are also 26 collectable picture sleeves from originals sleeves around the world. A 36 page booklet with unreleased photographs plus track annotations by the captains of KISSonline.com. You’ll also receive 4 singles each by Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter originally released in 1978. Along with the single you’ll get the mask’s that came along with them in the original release. The band played 17 songs from their past albums. In this set you will receive 1 Blu-ray and 1 DVD or the concert in high definition. On the 2 CDs you will have the tracks in there live form at the concert.
