Kirk Hammett: Now In Miniature Zombie Form

GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 28: Kirk Hammett of Metallica performs on the Pyramid stage during Day 2 of the Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm on June 28, 2014 in Glastonbury, England.
guitarist Kirk Hammett is turning into a zombie -- in miniature, at least.

Hammett will be the latest figure depicted in the Famous Zombies Jr. limited toy line, which will roll out at this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego. Hammett will sign the figurines on July 25 and July 26 during the event, where he's also slated to jam with his old band, Exodus, and join Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo on a Comic-Con panel. Trujillo is hosting a screening of the animated film " 'Tallica Parking Lot" on July 25.

In a statement announcing the zombie figurine, Hammett says, "I'm stoked to be bringing more exclusive wares to the San Diego Comic Con...Being a fan of comics and movies since I was a kid, it's just a huge honor to be at Comic Con on both sides, selling and buying!"

Metallica recently finished a European tour and will play August 9 at the Heavy Montreal festival while continuing work on a new album, its first since 2009's "Death Magnetic."
