Lineup Announced For Uproar Festival

Godsmack and Seether will be top the bill for this year's fifth annual Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival, which kicks off August 15 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre outside Detroit and plays 16 dates before finishing September 12 in Auburn Wash.

The bill also includes Skillet, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, Escape the Fate, Redlight King, Three Raven Skies, Tattered, Sons of Revelry, 3 Years Hollow, Within Reason and New Medicine. Tickets go on sale Friday (June 20) at www.RockstarUproar.com, and during the first 72 hours fans will be given a chance to buy Godsmack's upcoming new album, "1000 Horsepower," for just $7.99.

Seether is also releasing a new album, "Isolate and Medicate," on July 1, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of the trio's first album. Frontman Shaun Morgan tells us that Uproar will be a perfect way to kick off the celebration:

"I feel like...the best way to start the next decade is on this positive note...Ten years has flown by, man. If I think about it, it's not been 12 years since Dale (Stewart) and I moved to the States; it was January 7, 2002 we moved here, and I cannot believe that it's been 12 years already, that it's been that fast...And fortunately, with that being said, our age marches on at a rapid pace as well, so I'm a little upset about how fast I'm getting older. But I've had a good time in this last decade or so. I certainly look forward to doing it another 10 years and looking back and saying, 'Man it's been another 10.' I mean, I can't complain about anything, man. It's been great."
