Tommy Lee on Motley Crue’s “Final” Song “All Bad Things Must End”

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - AUGUST 18: Motley Crue band members (L-R) Vince Neil and Tommy Lee arrive at the Annual Sunset Strip Music Festival, Tribute to Motley Crue at the House of Blues Sunset Blvd on August 18, 2011 in West Hollywood, California.
Motley Crue
will indeed have a new song to accompany its farewell tour this summer.

Drummer Tommy Lee tells us the song, titled "All Bad Things Must End,"

"is a reality. I just finished drums on it, was it about a week ago? And so we're just mixing it and getting it together now...I think it's supposed to come out some time around July. I think it's going to be attached to a, I think there was word of another greatest hits album.”

As for what the song sounds like, Lee says that,

"It's pretty heavy. It's actually really heavy, but it's really melodic...It's definitely about this time right now and what the feeling is and kind of all kind of wrapped up into a song. It's almost like a, I hate to say like a goodbye, but it definitely references our time here."

Lee and the Crue kick off the farewell tour on July 2 in Grand Rapids, Mich., and are expected to wrap up in the fall of 2015. The group is also working on the film adaptation of its 2001 band biography "The Dirt," while Lee is playing drums on the next Smashing Pumpkins album.
