Rob Zombie is back in the studio making a follow-up to last year's "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor" after his band's recent tour swing through North America. The shock rocker tells us things are going well, too: "Pretty far (along), y'know? A lot further than I thought...You never know, but we got quite a bit done, so it's pretty far along in the process...It sounds fuckin' weird, man...that's a really good thing...Right now I'm by myself in the studio with just a producer. The rest of the band's not here yet 'cause I have the studio in my house, but, yeah, they'll come up here later. It's going good." Zombie hopes to have the album finished by late summer; he's gearing up for a European tour that starts June 5 at the Sweden Rock Festival, with 14 shows before returning to the U.S. to play the Rock USA fest July 27 in Wisconsin and another show on July 19 in Grayslake, Ill. Zombie releases his first-ever concert DVD, "The Zombie Horror Picture Show," on May 20, as well as a coffee-table photo book of the same title.
