Foo Fighters Play Surprise 17-Song Set At D.C. Club

LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 18: (L-R) Musicians Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters arrive at the 28th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on April 18, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.
Fans in attendance at the 9:30 club in Washington D.C. last night were treated to a surprise 17-song set from the Foo Fighters as part of the night’s birthday tribute show to local D.C. musician Big Tony.

According to Consequence of Sound, Dave Grohl, who grew up in the D.C. area, was scheduled to perform that night alongside Bad BrainsDarryl Jenifer and Dr. Know but also pulled double duty with the Foos to close out the tribute show.

No video from the show has been posted to YouTube (yet), but we hope someone captured Grohl playing a top of the club’s bar while doing a shot of Jaeger, per various fan reports.
