I feel like I’ve been shouting that for the last month. “Hey Lyndsey, wh-“ “ORION FEST!” “What?” Pre-Party is Wednesday at Greektown, Metallica’s sound check is Friday, and the Festival is Saturday and Sunday. 101 The RIFF is STILL giving away tickets all this week. Not to mention, WRIF’s “Tip A Tiger” event is Thursday at CJ Mahoney’s in Troy.. Busy, busy! Back tracking a little bit, Friday’s show at St. Andrews with Rival Sons was a HUGE success. (Their in-studio performance was rad, also.) Jade hosted the shit out of the show. I got to come on-stage and assist her with introducing the bands! Never would I imagine sitting not even ten feet away from Chris Cornell while he jams to the acoustic guitar!! Never!!! But it happened!!! I loved it!! I love intimate acoustic performances, especially GOOD ones like that!! He played a couple new ones off of “King Animal” along with older ones like “Black Hole Sun” and “Fell on Black Days”.  I’m trying to find where the pictures are still. You can watch the video here! I’m so excited for all the weddings this fall and the two I’m standing up in! Tonight I’m meeting with one of the brides and the other bridesmaids to plan the engagement party. The weather was beautiful and the Fillmore was nuts!!! I had so much fun!!  Not to mention I love my new Made in Detroit zip up in Tiger’s colors!! Yay!!! Oh…and Tigers beat the damn Yankees!! Saturday I got to go to the Pinball Expo at Oakland University!! It was probably my second time playing Pinball, and, well…I’m not very good! Haha either way it was a blast! Screamin’ Scott had a few of his machines on display for people to play. His were pretty popular! I had a great time there with everyone. We’ll have their pictures and bios up so that you can vote for your favorite! It’s kind of sad for me of course, but at the same time exciting! I was at a couple of the auditions and they went very well! The weekend flew by as always! We gave away a pair of Opening Day tickets on Saturday at Jack Demmer Ford in Wayne. I always love giving stuff like that away and seeing people’s reactions! It makes me happy!! Speaking of Opening Day, this weather better turn around!!
